Improving Early Literacy: An Evaluation of Early Reading Matters

RFA is studying the effectiveness of the Early Reading Matters program. This initiative, which is operating in eight NYC public schools, is designed to provide professional development for teachers to improve the quality of early reading instruction. Our study will document the outcomes, best practices, and lessons learned from the implementation of Early Reading Matters. Results of this study are designed to improve implementation and identify conditions for scale up.
