Executive Assistant

RFA is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to provide high-level, dynamic support to the organization’s Executive Director, leadership team, and Board of Directors, and manage RFA’s office operations. This fast-paced position works at the highest levels of the organization, and requires the ability to think critically, anticipate complex needs, and develop solutions using the highest levels of professionalism, self-direction, discretion, and confidentiality.

This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will have significant opportunity and autonomy in building and managing systems of support, while collaborating closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to support key initiatives and overall leadership of the organization.

RFA is seeking an experienced higher education researcher to lead and contribute to research projects that assess the equity and effectiveness of policies, programs, and interventions designed to improve student postsecondary access and success. These projects may include formative and summative evaluations of programs; policy analysis and evaluation; and mixed-methods research. The researcher will develop and design research studies that center equity and apply literature-informed frameworks for data collection and analysis. The researcher will direct the collection, organization, and analysis of primary and secondary data at the student-, institution-, and state/systems-level. The researcher will develop and present policy and program insights for varied community groups. The researcher will use insights from their studies to inform design and implementation of current and future policies and initiatives, contribute to the knowledge base of the field, and influence postsecondary policies at multiple levels.

This position will report to the Associate Director of Postsecondary Policy and will have significant opportunity and autonomy in building and directing a portfolio of mission-aligned projects, supervising and collaborating with staff in support of projects, and supporting the Associate Director in leading the postsecondary research team.

Research for Action (RFA) is looking for 10 Student Assessors from Broward County, FL to join their team. RFA is working with the Children’s Literacy Initiative to evaluate the impact of Blueprint for Early Literacy (Blueprint), a pre-Kindergarten literacy curriculum supplement, on kindergarten readiness in student literacy and math skills. The intervention includes training and content-focused coaching for educators. RFA’s objective is to evaluate the quality of implementation and impact of Blueprint through a randomized control trial in Broward County, Florida. This project will occur between September 2021 and June 2022 in 18 schools that are using Blueprint (treatment sites) and 18 schools that are not using Blueprint (comparison sites).
