Research Associate

Research For Action (RFA) is hiring a mixed-methods researcher with strong quantitative skills  at the Research Associate level, a mid-to-senior level position, reporting to a Senior Research Associate or the Director of Quantitative Research. Research Associates typically have strong training and experience in applied social science research and program evaluation, as well as methodological and content expertise relevant to RFA’s mission and areas of work. We expect successful candidates will have their own areas of expertise and will contribute to developing research projects in those areas, but also be open to contributing to a variety of topic areas ranging from educator workforce, postsecondary education, K-12 education and programs, and out-of-school time programs and informal learning environments. Research for Action (RFA) is looking for an innovative, entrepreneurial Director of Strategic Communications, which is a senior-level management position in the organization and serves as the architect and implementer of RFA’s communications strategy and presence. The Director will develop, direct, and implement RFA’s strategic communications efforts, including using website, print media, social media, and other means, to raise our visibility and impact as a national equity-focused education research and evaluation organization with a strong local-to-Philadelphia presence.

Research For Action (RFA) is looking for a qualitative or mixed-methods researcher with a demonstrated interest in higher education research to join its team at the Research Analyst level, which is a junior level position in our organization. Research Analysts at RFA have foundational training and experience in social science research that is relevant to RFA’s mission and areas of work and serve a critical role in research project execution and support, particularly around data collection, management, and analysis and project management. They serve as informal mentors to Research Assistants and may supervise project interns. The Research Analyst in this position will work on the postsecondary team and report to a Research Associate. They will contribute to and support a range of ongoing and new projects, with a focus on collecting and analyzing qualitative data.

Research For Action (RFA) is looking for a qualitative or mixed-methods researcher to join its team at the Research Associate level, which is a mid-to-senior level position in our organization. Research Associates have strong training and experience in social science research, as well as some methodological and content expertise relevant to RFA’s mission and areas of work. The Research Associate in this position will report to a Senior Research Associate or to the Director of Qualitative Research. They will support and manage RFA’s multi-site project evaluating 21st Century Community Learning Center outcomes in the Philadelphia area during their first year, as well as contribute to the development and execution of other Out-of-School-Time (OST) and K-12 research projects. The person in this position must be based in or within commuting distance of Philadelphia.
