Year Four marked the first year in which Project LIFT anticipated that long term outcomes would start taking shape. This expectation was, in part, based on the belief that after three years of added supports and innovative strategies, Project LIFT could begin seeing notable achievement gains and start identifying key levers for improving student outcomes. The Year Four Implementation Memo documented robust implementation of core LIFT programs, and many stakeholders reported perceived improvements in school culture and academic outcomes. When taken together, this evidence of robust implementation provides the foundation necessary to examine whether LIFT is having its expected effects on short-term outcomes associated with school climate and longer-term student achievement outcomes.
