A Capacity Building Project with Art Educators: National Arts and Education Consortium (NAEC)

Released January 1, 1999

NAEC, funded by the Getty Foundation and the Annenberg Foundation, sought to catalyze and support whole school reform through an integrated approach to arts education. Each of NAEC’s six regional centers provided leadership and technical assistance to partner schools. NAEC asked RFA and Steege/Thomson Communications to support the work of its mentors who act as consultants and change agents in the schools. Steege/Thomson and RFA provided training to mentors in effective communication and collaboration skills and supported the development of a collegial network for the mentors.
