Established in 2017, the Dallas County Promise is a coalition of school districts, postsecondary institutions, employers and communities working together to help more Dallas County students complete college and begin careers. Administered by The Commit Partnership, an educational collective impact organization serving North Texans, Dallas County Promise is committed to helping high schools ensure college and career readiness for all students, helping postsecondary institutions achieve the state’s 60x30TX goal by addressing equity gaps in completions of Dallas County students, and helping the workforce solve the talent gap.
RFA is partnering with Dallas County Promise on a mixed-methods evaluation that would accomplish the following: 1.) document early outcomes associated with students, schools, and Dallas County to inform state and local policy decisions, 2.) track implementation and provide actionable feedback to key stakeholders to strengthen and improve the initiative, 3.) explore relationships between institutional characteristics, program components, and outcomes to inform the design and implementation for Dallas County Promise, and 4.) provide capacity-building for a future impact study.
