Sharoon is a Senior Research Analyst serving on the postsecondary team examining college access, affordability, and success, and how states and colleges are engaging adult learners, particularly learners of color.

Motivated by a passion for building collective change, Sharoon spent the past decade researching mentoring, and teaching in education and education-adjacent spaces. Their experiences growing up in a housing project in Mexico City’s periphery form and guide their pedagogy, research agenda, and political investments and collaborations.

Before joining Research for Action, they worked as an independent consultant and at the Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality. Sharoon holds a MA from Stanford University and a BA from the Tecnologico de Monterrey.
