Matthew Rigsby is a Research Analyst on the quantitative team who contributes to a wide range of projects from early childhood to post-secondary education. His work includes a study of early childhood literacy and RFA’s evaluations of various arts and athletic afterschool programs. Currently, Rigsby’s efforts are focused on higher education equity and access, including a study to understand the obstacles minority college students face when entering the workforce and an evaluation of state policy on accrediting extracurricular learning.
As a quantitative researcher, Rigsby excels at multiple regression analysis, multi-level modeling, implementation measurement and analysis, and survey design and implementation. Prior to joining RFA, Matthew worked at Research Schools International in Boston, where he studied the link between social-emotional learning and student stress levels. Matthew also worked abroad as a teacher and researcher, with stints in South Africa and South Korea. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Villanova University in 2010 and a master’s degree in Education Policy from Harvard University in 2017.
