Jason Fontana joined RFA in 2017 as a policy research assistant. At RFA, Jason conducts mixed method analyses for several projects, including regular contributions to the PACER initiative, a study of non-traditional childcare in Pennsylvania, and serves in a project manager role on Philadelphia’s evaluation of over a dozen OST providers as part of the 21st Century Community Learning Center program. Prior to joining RFA, Jason served as an early childhood education policy fellow for The Philadelphia Mayor’s Office for Community Empowerment and Opportunity, where he conducted quantitative analysis and translation services for the city’s universal PreK initiative. Jason was also an English support instructor in Temple University’s Intensive English Language Program for international students and a peer teacher in the university’s Spanish department. Jason received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Spanish from Temple University in 2017.
