Daniel Kent joined RFA as a Research Analyst in 2018 and was promoted to Senior Policy Analyst in 2020. Deeply committed to using data-driven insights to improve college access and outcomes for traditionally underserved students, Daniel works with the quantitative research team to support RFA’s postsecondary policy projects. Some of these projects include a study of Free College programs, and an evaluation of the Jobs for the Future’s Student Success Center Network Network across 16 states.

Prior to RFA, Daniel’s research in graduate school was noted by media including the New York Times and The Tennessean, and was published in the American Educational Research Journal. He is also on the scholarship committee for TheDream.US, and is a scholarship reader for the Point Foundation and QuestBridge. Daniel has a B.A. from the College of William & Mary, and an M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania.
