Cyril Cherian is a quantitative Research Analyst with significant expertise in the impact of inequality on educational attainment and employment. He contributes to a range of research and evaluation projects at RFA, including analyses of the impacts of college promise programs and outcomes-based funding policies, evaluations of 21st Century afterschool programs in Philadelphia, and an analysis of the cost of education in multiple Pennsylvania school districts.  Cyril has a master’s degree in Economics and Education from Teachers College, where he served as a teaching assistant to Dr. Henry Levin and conducted research on the migration and employment patterns of immigrants in the UAE.  Previous professional experiences include positions at NYU’s Center for Technology and Economic Development and time as a math and science teacher in India.  Cyril is fluent in five languages.
