Cyril Cherian is a quantitative Research Analyst with significant expertise in the impact of inequality on educational attainment and employment. He contributes to a range of research and evaluation projects at RFA, including analyses of the impact of college promise programs and outcomes-based funding, evaluations of 21st Century afterschool programs in Philadelphia, and an analysis of the cost of education in multiple Pennsylvania school districts.  Chernian has a Master’s degree in Economics and Education from Teachers College, where he served as a Teaching Assistant to Dr. Henry Levin and conducted research on the migration and employment patterns of immigrants in the UAE.  Previous professional experience includes positions at NYU’s Center for Technology and Economic Development, and serving as a math and science teacher in India.  Chernian is fluent in five languages.
