As Strategic Communications Manager, Bria Spivey leads many of RFA’s communications efforts, specifically working with researchers to find new and innovative ways to raise the visibility of RFA project work and content expertise. Spivey has experience in municipal government having served as the Communications & Digital Engagement Specialist for the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Innovation and Technology (OIT) where she steered both traditional and digital communications efforts.
Spivey also served as the Digital Inclusion Program Specialist for OIT’s Innovation Management Office, where she spearheaded the City’s STEM Mentoring program and worked on various projects with the Office of Adult Education’s Keyspot network. She holds a bachelor’s degree is Mass Communications from Claflin University, where she served as their 2014 Miss Claflin University. Spivey also received a master’s degree in Strategic Communications from American University.
