About Alison Murawski

Alison Murawski is RFA’s Chief Operating Officer. As a member of the senior management team, she contributes to the overall strategic direction and day-to-day management of the organization. Murawski also provides strategic oversight for RFA’s communications and human resources functions; partners with the RFA’s Chief Research Officer and Chief Financial Officer to direct and coordinate organizational and administrative operations; and directs the operations of RFA’s Board of Directors.

Murawski joined RFA in 2010 as its first Director of Communications. In that role, she developed and implemented an organization-wide strategy to increase RFA’s visibility and position the organization as a reputable source of information for media, clients/partners, and other stakeholders. This strategy resulted in exponential growth in visibility, including regular media placements in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Harrisburg Patriot-News, and features in the New York Times, Washington Post, and NPR. She has also overseen multiple website development projects and partnered with research and communications staff to produce more than 80 high-quality research reports and briefs per year.

Prior to joining RFA, Murawski spent several years building and leading communications and advocacy efforts for multiple nonprofit organizations, including Good Schools Pennsylvania, an education advocacy group, and 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, a land use advocacy organization.
