Alison Murawski is RFA’s Chief Operating Officer & Director of Communications. In this capacity, she provides strategic oversight for RFA’s communications and human resources functions, partners with the RFA’s CFO to direct administrative operations, directs the operations of RFA’s board of directors, and serves on the senior management team where she contributes to the overall strategic direction of the organization.
Since joining RFA in 2010 as its first Director of Communications, Murawski has developed and implemented an organization-wide strategy to increase RFA’s visibility and position the organization as a valuable source of information for national, statewide, and local media; district, city, and state policymakers; and other education organizations.
Currently, she is designing and implementing a new system for the way RFA produces, designs, and disseminates 80-100 publications per year, and is providing strategic guidance for the development and redesign of RFA’s new website.
Prior to joining RFA, Murawski spent several years leading communications and advocacy efforts for nonprofit organizations, including Good Schools Pennsylvania, an education advocacy group, and 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, a land use advocacy organization.
