About Vanessa Jimenez-Read
Vanessa Jimenez-Read is a Quantitative Research Assistant at RFA and currently serves on the 21st Century Community Learning Centers team. She also provides research support to RFA’s evaluations of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s State Educational Data Study and the Children’s Literacy Initiative Blueprint 4.0 Curriculum.
Jimenez-Read has experience in economics and education research. She leverages this experience in support of her projects at RFA, including cleaning and conducting quantitative analyses of student participation data to support RFA’s evaluation of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers. She is interested in the following research areas: education policy, economic sociology, and racial capitalism. Much of her previous research has focused on fair lending exams and analyzing housing mortgage data, and she is committed to working on research that centers marginalized communities and fights for justice.
