About Sharoon Negrete González
Sharoon Negrete González is a Senior Research Analyst serving on the postsecondary team examining college access, affordability, and success, and how states and colleges are engaging adult learners, particularly learners of color.
Motivated by a passion for building collective change, Negrete González spent the past decade researching, mentoring, and teaching in education and education-adjacent spaces. Their experiences growing up in a housing project in Mexico City’s periphery form and guide their pedagogy, research agenda, and political investments and collaborations.
Before joining RFA, they worked as an independent consultant and at the Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality. Negrete González holds a master’s degree from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree from the Tecnologico de Monterrey.
