Adam Schott oversees all aspects of RFA’s policy research and reports. He currently leads several state-level research initiatives and coordinates RFA’s involvement in the Campaign for Fair Education Funding and the Education Justice Network. Adam also connects RFA’s research with the work of Pennsylvania policymakers, education beat journalists, and other education organizations. His writings have appeared in Education Week, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Adam’s background in education policy includes service on then Governor-elect Wolf’s education transition team and two years as Executive Director of Pennsylvania’s State Board of Education, where he worked with senior policymakers, education stakeholders, and external research partners on the first revision of the state’s academic targets in more than a decade. Between 2003 and 2009, Adam served in a number of senior positions in the Pennsylvania Department of Education. He is an elected school director in Lancaster City.
