Benjamin Herold has worked as a researcher, community organizer, and trainer. Herold received his Master’s Degree in Urban Education from Temple University in May 2003. Herold served for three years as Philadelphia GEAR-UP K-16 Coordinator, where he further explored his focus on secondary and postsecondary education for urban public high school students. Herold recently made his directorial debut with First Person, a documentary film chronicling the experiences of six Philadelphia public high school students as they prepare for college. At Research for Action, Herold works on the Learning from Philadelphia’s School Reform project and provides Communications support.
