Maia Cucchiara completed doctoral studies in education and sociology at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a former Spencer Urban Research Fellow and has worked as a teacher and community organizer. Maia’s areas of interest include urban education, urban sociology, and school reform. Her dissertation explored the link between urban revitalization and school reform.
