| Abstract: |
In the December 2009 eNews, Kate introduced herself to the RFA community. She also provided context for two new publications: 'Complicated Choices: Struggling to Meet NCLB Requirements AND Remain Faithful to a School's Educational Vision and Practice,' an occasional paper by Eva Travers about the choices one school, Baker, was forced to make as it struggled to make AYP; and 'Education as a Field for Community Organizing: A Comparative Perspective,' a chapter by Elaine Simon and Eva Gold about community organizing on education issues, in the recent publication, 'The People Shall Rule: ACORN, Community Organizing, and the Struggle for Economic Justice,' edited by Robert Fisher. |
