Book Review of Gettin' My Word Out: Voices of Urban Youth Activists by Leoisa Ardizzone
The publication of Gettin' My Word Out is timely for two reasons. It is apt that the 40th anniversary of 1968-a year renowned in part for student activism-should invite a fresh look at the social and political expression of young people. And it is poignant that the focus of this book, on peace education, is as desperately needed today as it was 40 years ago.
