SYTE is a tuition guarantee program that provides students and families from low-income neighborhoods with college or other post-secondary training. RFA collaborated with the SYTE staff to evaluate the program serving the most recent Philadelphia cohort which involves 50 families and their school-aged children. The Philadelphia program began when the children were in kindergarten. RFA examined the student outcomes of the target children and provided formative feedback on the interaction between the program, school, and participating families, to Say Yes staff, Say Yes parents, and school staff. RFA is continuing its student outcomes work and planning a longitudinal study of Say Yes. |
