RFA TO STUDY RENAISSANCE SCHOOLS
RFA is pleased to announce that we will be studying the implementation of the School District of Philadelphia Renaissance Schools initiative. Our work will provide useful, actionable research to the Accountability Review Council (ARC), which commissioned this study, and to a broader audience of parents, teachers, students, and the District.
This research fits with RFA’s two decades of experience researching the major reform initiatives in the School District of Philadelphia. For more information on this project and our past research, see our Special Edition eNewsletter (pdf).
PEABODY JOURNAL SPECIAL ISSUE
RFA is proud to announce the release of Benchmarks for Success? Interim Assessments as a Strategy for Educational Improvement, a special issue of the Peabody Journal of Education co-edited by RFA Senior Research Associate Sukey Blanc and featuring contributions from many current and former RFA staff members and partners.
The issue draws heavily on RFA’s research on the role of interim assessments as a tool for improving learning. RFA’s previous publications on this subject can be downloaded free from our website.
