FOUNDERS FELLOWSHIP - SUMMER 2010
Research for Action is pleased to announce a new summer fellowship opportunity for 2010 for advanced doctoral students or recent graduates. Candidates should demonstrate an eagerness to learn how to conduct and write up actionable research that directly informs policy and practice, and an interest in pursuing a career in applied research. Applicants may apply as individuals or in partnership with a faculty sponsor.

SENIOR
QUANTITATIVE ASSOCIATE
Research
for Action (RFA) is seeking an experienced quantitative
researcher to lead the development and expansion
of RFA’s capacity to design and conduct mixed-methods
policy and evaluation studies in urban educational
settings. The senior research associate will design
and direct policy research and evaluation projects
and take a leadership role within RFA.
To be considered, a candidate
must have a Ph.D. in relevant field; five-ten years demonstrated
experience
leading and conducting mixed methods studies in educational
settings and experience working with urban school districts. Full position description

POSITIONS - We
are always interested in senior researchers with
a passion for social justice in public education,
experienced quantitative researchers,
and researchers fluent in Spanish (Ph.D.
and Masters degrees).
INTERNSHIPS
(UNPAID) AND WORKSTUDY - AVAILABLE
for Summer 2010. RFA qualifies for work
study and PHEAA. College Juniors or Seniors
and Graduate Students
are
invited to apply. Please plan to spend 2 days/week
or more to have a meaningful experience. Please

GRADUATE ASSISTANTS -
Both summer and year-round assistantships are available.
Some
graduate
students
come to RFA with their own funding, some come to
RFA to build their resumes and experience valuable
mentoring.
RFA has benefited greatly from having graduate students
interested in qualitative or quantitative research
from different disciplines - for example, social work
students
have
done their field
placements
at RFA if they are interested in education and social
policy. We match your skills and interests individually
with evaluation
or
