RFA opinion pieces on vouchers published
As 2011 came to a close, Pennsylvania’s legislature came to an impasse over Gov. Corbett’s signature education reform proposal — publicly-funded education vouchers. To make the case that lawmakers should use credible research to make critical policy decisions on issues such as vouchers, RFA authored two recent opinion pieces in statewide media outlets:
- On December 18, RFA responded to a Harrisburg Patriot-News editorial that endorsed a voucher plan for Pennsylvania with a letter to the editor. Read RFA’s letter to the editor here.
- Additionally, on December 26, an RFA-authored op-ed appeared in the Delaware County Daily Times that calls on lawmakers to use rigorous, reputable research to inform decision-making about vouchers. Read the op-ed here.
